Driveway Repair in Surrey
Sunken, cracked or weedy driveway? GK Landscapes assesses whether repair or renovation is the most cost-effective option, and tells you straight.
Not Every Driveway Problem Needs a Full Replacement
Sunken sections can be lifted and re-laid. Individual cracked or broken blocks can be replaced. Weeds and moss can be removed and joints re-sanded to prevent regrowth. Edge restraints can be reset. In many cases, targeted repair is a fraction of the cost of a new driveway and gives years of further service.
The key question is the sub-base. If ground settlement has caused isolated sinking, repair is the right answer. If the sub-base has failed across a large area, compaction lost, drainage gone, repair is a temporary fix and replacement makes better long-term sense. GK Landscapes gives you an honest answer either way.

Frequently Asked Questions
If sinking is isolated to one or two areas and the rest of the drive is solid, repair is almost always better value. If you have widespread sinking, cracking across most of the surface, or water pooling in multiple places, the sub-base has likely failed and replacement will serve you better long-term. Patrick gives an honest recommendation at the site visit, there is no pressure either way.
In most cases yes. Concrete block paving comes in standard colours (charcoal, buff, brindle, red, mixed) and we carry a range of sizes. An exact colour match is harder on an older driveway where weathering has changed the tone, but we will get as close as possible.
Re-laying a sunken section (2–4m²) typically costs £300–£600. Re-jointing a full driveway is £200–£500 depending on size. Individual block replacement is priced per block plus a minimum call-out. Patrick provides a fixed written quote after the site visit.
Yes, GK Landscapes carries out tarmac pothole filling and patch repairs. For driveways with widespread surface deterioration, a full overlay may be more cost-effective than patching, which Patrick will advise on.
